Los Texmaniacs Preview Album at Alamo Beer Company

Grammy award winners, Los Texmaniacs, will be at Alamo Beer Company on Friday May 8th to preview their latest album, ‘Americano Groove’. Critics have said this album is ‘the landmark Tex-Mex album of the decade’.

This free event will also feature artists like, Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo, Rick Trevino, Augie Meyers, and a special return appearance by Lifetiime Achievement Award Winner Flaco Jimenez.

The performances will run from 6pm-11:30 pm at the brewery.

About Los Texmaniacs – Americano Groove

Recorded at Wavelab Studios in Tucson, Arizona and Austin’s Public-HiFi studio, “Americano Groove” was produced by Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin. The album features Kevin Fowler, Alejandro Escovedo, Joe Ely and Rick Trevino. Guest musical performances include Los Lobos’ David Hidalgo on guitar, Steve Berlin on sax and piano, and the legendary Augie Meyers on organ.  All songs were written or co-written by Los Texmaniacs front man, Max Baca. Baca has been Flaco Jimenez ‘ long time right hand man and member of Grammy winning super group – Los Super 7. He has recorded his famous bajo sexto sound on 11 Grammy winning albums including the Rolling Stones “Voodoo Lounge”.

 

About Alamo Beer Company
Alamo Beer Company introduced ALAMO Golden Ale in October 2003. Since then, it has continued to grow locally and has quickly expanded to West Texas, South Texas, Houston, and Austin. In March of 2015, Alamo Beer Company, opened its brewery, beer hall and beer garden in San Antonio’s east downtown. Using traditional German brewing methods the brewery produces an ALAMO Pilsner, ALAMO Amber Lager, ALAMO German Pale Ale, ALAMO Golden Ale and Seasonals.
