Aaron Franklin Crowdsources for PBS Television Show

Aaron Franklin, of the famous Austin barbecue restaurant Franklin’s BBQ, launched a crowdsourcing campaign via Indiegogo to raise funds for an additional season of the PBS hit ” BBQ with Franklin”.

The episodes for the second season have been mostly filmed, so the $20,000 that the campaign is requesting is to finalize the season and get it out on broadcast. PBS is supported by donations from, ‘viewers like you’, so this campaign is a true non-profit endeavor. There are some perks for donating to the campaign ranging from $10 to $1000.  The entry-level donation gets your name written in barbecue sauce while the top dollar donation awards you with a private screening, food, live music and the ability to watch Daniel Vaughn interview Aaron Franklin.

Check out the campaign and additional contribute details here.

I've lived in Texas all my life and can't express how much I love this state. I found that I was enjoying these amazing bbq spots and drinking fantastic Texas-made beer and wanted my buddies and I to be able to share them with our readers.
