The Karbach brewery is located close to the northwest part of town and has been there for a few years now on Karbach Street. It was home to a distribution center for beer originally, so it’s pretty neat that they group decided to start brewing their own beer that can be distro’d through the same channels.
Brewery tour times vary, but for this and all other Saturdays, the brewery is open 4:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
You walk up to the welcome desk basically, pay for your glass and then receive tokens for sampling some great brews. The glass I picked up was for the Hopadilla IPA, so I was pretty excited. Check out the glass in the gallery below.
The color coded tokens let you know which types of beer you can sample, but if you need more tokens you can purchase more. The brewery also has a little gift shop for merchandise and food trailers if you get hungry.
There was live music, a good crowd and then the rain happened. Lovely Houston showers kept everyone under the tent, but the beer tables were covered, so we enjoyed some tasty beverages and watched the rain pour down.
